Maternal and Child Health

Maternal and child health is a primary focus of health awareness programs, aiming to ensure comprehensive healthcare for mothers and children from pregnancy through early childhood. Efforts include educating mothers on the importance of regular medical check-ups, providing advice on proper nutrition and healthcare. Vaccination programs are a key component, offering necessary immunizations to protect children from diseases. Additionally, the program offers guidance on the benefits of breastfeeding and the importance of health monitoring for growth and development. These efforts contribute to reducing mortality and morbidity rates among mothers and children and enhancing overall family health. Cartoonists Sameh Samir & Amr Al Sawy collaborated with the Ministry and donor institutions like the European Union and UNDP to produce visual content, including cartoons, books, animated films, and various publications, to support these efforts.
