Civil Rights & Social Inclusion
Civil Rights and Social Inclusion
Civil rights and social inclusion are fundamental issues addressed by the "Waai" program through educating the community about the importance of human rights and citizenship. The program aims to ensure that all individuals receive their civil and social rights regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity. Efforts include raising awareness about the importance of social inclusion and combating discrimination and racism. Workshops and training courses are organized to educate individuals about their rights and responsibilities and encourage active participation in the community. The Ministry of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with governmental bodies and civil society organizations, promotes policies of social inclusion and provides necessary support to marginalized groups to achieve justice and equality. This approach contributes to building a strong and cohesive society where all individuals have equal opportunities for growth, development, and participation in public life. Cartoonists Sameh Samir & Amr Al Sawy collaborated with the Ministry and donor institutions like the European Union and UNDP to produce visual content, including cartoons, books, animated films, and various publications, to support these efforts.
