Combating Illegal Migration
Combating Illegal Migration
Combating illegal migration aims to educate young people about the risks of irregular migration and provide safe alternatives for work and a decent life within the country. Efforts include organizing awareness campaigns on the dangers of illegal migration and its negative impact on individuals and families, and providing support to young people through vocational training programs and creating new job opportunities. The Ministry of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with relevant authorities, offers the necessary support to young people to achieve economic and social stability without the need for illegal migration. Legal advice and consultations are also provided to young people on safe and legal migration routes to ensure their safety and protect them from the risks they may face during illegal migration journeys. These efforts also aim to strengthen national belonging and encourage young people to stay and contribute to building their community and achieving sustainable development in Egypt. Sameh Samir collaborated with the Ministry and donor institutions like the European Union and UNDP to produce visual content, including cartoons, books, animated films, and various publications, to support these efforts.
