Combating Illiteracy and Education

Combating illiteracy and promoting education are fundamental to achieving sustainable development in society. The "Waai" program seeks to eradicate illiteracy among adults and children and provide educational opportunities for all, especially in rural and remote areas. Efforts include establishing literacy classes and conducting awareness campaigns on the importance of education and its role in improving quality of life. Incentives are provided to families to enroll their children in schools, and support is given to enhance education quality. The Ministry, in cooperation with educational institutions and civil society organizations, offers technical and financial support to ensure everyone receives proper education, contributing to building an educated society capable of active participation in development. Sameh Samir collaborated with the Ministry and donor institutions like the European Union and UNDP to produce visual content, including cartoons, books, animated films, and various publications, to support these efforts.
